Victoria Raskin is a Canadian actress, born in Israel to Armenian-European-Israeli parents. Her mother is a professional musician and opera singer, and her father is an Engineer, Kung Fu Master and Kung Fu Champion. Victoria began singing, dancing, rhythmic gymnastics, and performing on stage at the age of three. She was one of the youngest vocalists in the Kinor David Vocal-Instrumental Ensemble. As a toddler, she enjoyed watching theatrical ballet and operas on the television, while moving to the music. At the age of five, she moved to Canada and continued rhythmic gymnastics, eventually competing at the provincial level, and winning the silver medal 3 times in a row. Meanwhile, she played classical piano, making headway through Royal Conservatory of Music examinations and music festival competitions. At the age of 8, she fell in love with the theatre and began training with theatre director/actor, Oleg Palme, playing leading heroine roles, such as Gerda in "The Snow Queen," Little Red Riding Hood in "The Little Red Riding Hood," and the Rose in "The Little Prince." She enjoyed playing comedic roles, such as the Owl in "Winnie the Pooh," Betan in "Karlson on the Roof," and an evil step-sister in "Cinderella," making the audience burst in laughter. She particularly enjoyed portraying seemingly evil or "unlikeable" characters as it posed a greater challenge to humanize seemingly villainous characters. Later on, she took on significantly larger, more challenging, and mature roles, such as Nina, in Chekhov's "The Seagull," and Ophelia, in Shakespeare's "Hamlet." Victoria is known for her film work in "Delinquent," directed by David I. Strasser, where she portrays Claudia, the maternalistic and fun close friend of Jakob Levin (portrayed by Jessie Platt), a rebellious troubled teen. She is also known for her work in "The Birth of Venus," directed by Leah Dean Cohen, where she portrays Venus Rob, a romanticized and sadistically twisted muse of the poor and unsuspecting Zacchari Howardstein (portrayed by Ioan Sebastian Tirlui), an art collector. When she was 11, she began dancing intensively, learning styles, such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and street jazz. Later on, she began dancing Latin styles, such as, Argentinian tango, bachata, and salsa and travelled internationally to perform. Victoria enjoys dancing and choreographing and has danced and choreographed for several film projects, such as, "Endless Waltz," directed by Zachary Richardson, and "Before Closing," directed by Marc Yungco. Victoria speaks four languages (Armenian, Russian, French, and English), and she loves gardening, writing poetry/stories/scripts, singing and making music.
Victoria Ratermanis is an actress and assistant director, known for Fosse/Verdon (2019), Here Lies Truth (2020) and Block (2020).
Victoria grew up in Surrey, (Southern) England. When she was 18 she moved to live in her favorite country - Spain - to work as a nanny overseeing six children. She also worked as a print model in Marbella (Spain) and saved enough money to be able to move and establish herself in America at the age of 19. She earned a scholarship to the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in Los Angeles and studied television, stage and film acting. Following that, she went on to study Broadcasting, Reporting and Journalism at Santa Monica College. Victoria has modeled for painters such as Miguel Paredes, whose paintings are sold all over the world, and appeared in numerous magazines and catalogues, including covers.....Nationally and Internationally. After a recurring role on a soap opera on NBC, she hosted many red carpet events for television, interviewing celebrities such as 50 Cent, Samuel Jackson, Mathew Perry, Janet Jackson, Larry King amongst others. She has works as a Principal on music videos and National and International commercials which include AAMCO, Xtra Pine, Anti Smoking, Oil of Olay, Instant Lift, Perfect Abs, Barry Manilow CBS special, Dot Com Guy, United Way, Osteoporosis PSA (with Joan Rivers), Fanta Orange, Allure (teeth whitening), Winston Cigarettes, Living Spaces, Pearl Hair removal, Wexford University, Moroccan Oil (face cream) and the National Lottery. Using her Broadcasting training, she reported the traffic from a News Helicopter and was the weather girl on the reality show "The Audition" for the KTLA Channel 5 Morning news. Following a childhood tragedy when close family friends were murdered by a mass murderer in England, Victoria has maintained a keen interest in Law Enforcement along with studying the mindset of the worst criminals whom they put away. Going on patrol for many years, with the LA County Sheriff Department, on the ground and in the air, it propelled her in to an additional career in law enforcement. When she was granted US Citizenship, Victoria then trained and passed the tests into the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. to become a deputy (with the goal to ultimately become a homicide detective). But due to the 100% commitment one must have to the LASD, she has currently put the process on hold so she can continue with her on camera, writing and producing career. After co-authoring a few books on notorious criminals, her first 'solo' book "Serial Killers ~ Up Close and Very Personal" ~ was released in November 2011 and hit number 33 on Amazon! Her latest book on the 'alleged' Grim Sleeper will be coming out near the end of 2014. Her goal is to prevent mass murderers and serial killers from being formed in the first place. Juggling a number of interesting jobs, and after training to be an LA County Sheriff, Victoria brings her unique passion for her work to the screen in every project in which she is involved. Alongside with interviewing 'the guilty', she is working on creating a show searching for the 'wrongly convicted' people in America today with life and/or death sentences. This was inspired by an innocent man on Oklahoma's Death Row who she helped receive 3 Stays of execution. Victoria also currently (2015) works as an Emcee/Presenter/Host on television and live events including Weddings, Corporate Events, and Bar Mitzvahs. She also travels the country and represents various companies such as: Ralph Lauren, Lamborghini, Mini Cooper, GMC, Acura, Audi, Harley Davidson, English Muffins, Phizer, Iplay, Sunsilk, Loreal, SKKY Vodka, Healthy Coat, Cisco, Ahnlab, EMC, Liebherr, Oracle, Cisco, the Mexican Embassy plus many more, at Conventions and Autos Shows. She is now 'the face of' various new products such as Solidea which is anti-cellulite clothing for women. Having never sold her soul to the "showbiz industry" she feels that her strongest attributes are her self-respect and integrity as a writer and an investigative journalist. Getting to the root of every story and exposing the truth, no matter the consequences, is what Victoria does best. Even if it means being a victim of the media and internet who create twisted stories. According to the media, it seems that a girl, who also works as a model, apparently shouldn't be interviewing serial killers! One quote she lives by is: "You are successful based on what you can ignore." Her recent work has included making it to the finals of Gordon Ramsay's show Masterchef, working as a producer behind the camera (where she loves to work) on the Investigative Discovery Network for the show Killer Truckers, a producer and guest interviewee on the A&E show The Killer Speaks, a new DNA program for Japan and a producer and guest interviewee on the A&E show Occult Crimes (coming out early next year). Victoria's dedication to her work along with her intense, yet animated, personality is portrayed very clearly throughout her body of work. She is a regular host on an International Internet based radio show called AmericanHeartsRadio.com. Victoria's show is called "Victoria Redstall Saves The Day" and focuses on relationship issues of all kinds including people from all walks of life including topics such as guests who are: bipolar, transgender, divorced, gay, anorexic, alcoholics etc. Her guests also include law enforcement officers, media and black people due to the current war and attacks that are currently happening in the Country today. Victoria works as a producer, and often the host, on a number of true crime shows, behind and in front of the camera. Along with juggling all her jobs, she still manages to keep her 'private life'...... very private!
