Teo Halm is a music producer and actor living in Los Angeles. 2019 has been a big year for him, co-starring in the indie film "Spiral Farm" and winning a Latin Grammy for co-writing Rosalía's "Con altura" (featuring J Balvin). He has also worked with Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Childish Gambino on the Lion King:The Gift, as well as SZA, King Princess and Shawn Mendes. He was voted Best Actor at the 9th Annual Fanlala PICK Awards by teens and tweens for his performance in the sci-fi release Earth to Echo (2014). Teo was cast in the supporting lead role of a rebellious skater kid in the James Franco produced Memoria (2015) a film adaption of stories from Franco's book 'Palo Alto Stories.' Born in Los Angeles, Teo got his start acting at age nine, playing Rolf in a production of 'The Sound of Music' singing "Sixteen Going on Seventeen." His father posted a photo of Teo on the talent website newfaces.com which attracted the interest of a producer for the PBS series Nova (1974). He was told that his long hair and bone structure would work well for him to perform as the Neanderthal boy in "Becoming Human: Last Human Standing." The same photo also helped get him cast as Will Campbell, spokesperson for UCLA in a fundraising web commercial. Not long after, his future manager "discovered" him on the soccer field when she saw his acting potential feigning an injury. And so began his exciting career in film and TV. At age 12 he played lead in the coming of age short film Waltham Vanguard (2012) which won a CINE Golden Eagle. Born in Medford, Oregon but raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Teo found his gift and passion for performing at the tender age of 7, when he joined the Albuquerque Boy Choir. After landing leading roles in local theatre, he was awarded the opportunity to follow his dreams to Hollywood at age 12, with a scholarship from Diane Hardin's Young Actors Space. Eduardo "Teo" Uriarte Romero (Seville 1945) grew up in the Basque Country where he emigrated with his family in 1953. When he was just 19 years of age, he joined ETA and participated in the executive committee of the organization that approves the so-called "Operation Sagarra" (Apple in Basque). Uriarte was arrested in 1969 and charged, with the murder of Melitón Manzanas. He is sentenced to death, but citizen protests and international pressure get Franco's pardon that commutes their sentences for long prison sentences. After the death of the dictator and the Transition to democracy in Spain, Teo Uriarte and the rest of those sentenced to death in the Burgos Process benefit from the Amnesty Law promoted by the Government of Adolfo Suárez in 1977. However, they are all expelled from the country and outcast to Norway and Belgium. Upon his return to Spain, Teo Uriarte separates from ETA and becomes part of Euzkadiko Ezkerra, the political party formed from the split of ETA Politico-Militar (The poly-milis) and ETA Militar (Los milis), and is elected Deputy of the Basque Parliament in the first legislature. In 1990 he became Deputy Mayor in Bilbao for the Partido Socialista (Socialist Party of Euskadi). Since leaving ETA, Uriarte has been very critical of the evolution and strategy of ETA, as evidenced by his numerous books published on the situation in the Basque Country.
