Rudy Rosenfeld

He was awarded posthumously the rank of Officer of the National Order for Merit, on the occasion of the TES 70th anniversary, in 2018. At TES, Rudy performed in both Romanian and Yiddish.

Rudy Soedjarwo
Rudy Soedjarwo or Rudianto Soedjarwo (born 9 November 1971) is an Indonesian film director. He became widely popular after directed a teens movie Ada Apa Dengan Cinta (What's Up with Love?) in 2002. That movie not only became a box office at that year but has received critical acclaim among Indonesian audience and critics as the important film of the era. That film also launched Dian Sastro and Nicholas Saputra's career as big movie stars in Indonesian cinema. Rudy has produced and directed different genres of movies - ranges from drama, comedy, horror and also action fantasy - showing his versatility. His works are also known for their noir tone and complex character.
Rudy Sooter
Rudy Sooter was born on June 17, 1904 in Canada as Roby Cecil Sooter. His parents were John Franklin Sooter and Hattie Blanch Tussing Sooter. Rudy first became known for his country and western music, both as a writer and performer. Bob Nolan and Roy Rogers were in his band before they formed the Sons of the Pioneers. Rudy Sooter worked in radio and in B Western Movies on a very regular basis and became a go to musician and band leader for B Western movie projects. In 1936 his Horse Opera Company featured guitar and mandolin. His Ranchmen recorded with Jimmie Davis for Decca Records. Their collaboration included the popular "You are My Sunshine." Between 1936 and 1951 Rudy appeared in eighty-one western movies as musician or singer in all but twelve where he had roles as character actors. From 1936 to 1943 he appeared in thirteen movies with Tex Ritter. In three of those films he both performed songs and wrote those songs. The 1937 Roy Rogers movie Billy the Kid Returns had a featured appearance by Sooter. In 1947, he collaborated with band leader Spade Cooley, playing in his band and co-writing several songs, including "It's Dark Outside," "Down at the Cuckoo House," and the probing "Who Dug the Hole I Am In?" Later in his acting career he became a familiar face on Gunsmoke, appearing in eighty-four episodes in a wide variety of roles. In six episodes he had a musical role and in four episodes he was a bartender. He died on June 9, 1991 in Reno, Nevada, USA.

And, a true passion project, The Sentence, a documentary about mandatory minimums and sentencing reform that Valdez has shot and directed over the course of a decade, premiered and won the US Documentary Audience Award at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and was acquired by HBO.

Rudy Vallee
Rudy Vallee started his career as a saxophone player and singer and later became a bandleader. In the 1920s and early '30s he had a hit radio program, The Fleishmann's Yeast Hour (although his explosive, ego-driven personality made his cast and crew hate him). In the early 1930s he was ranked with the likes of Bing Crosby and the tragic Russ Columbo in the Hit Parade. A huge hit on radio in 1933 with his program, initially known as 'The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour,' Vallee was considered a slavedriver by his staff. He was known to instigate fist fights with virtually anyone who got on his nerves. During his show's run he slugged photographers, threw sheet music at pianists' heads, and socked hecklers in their noses. While audiences loved him, most of his staff hated him. As a very popular star in nightclubs, on records, and in movies, he helped other singers, such as Alice Faye--who was his band singer for a while--and Frances Langford to start their careers. In his early movies he often played the romantic lead, but later he switched to stuffy and comic parts. He also appeared on Broadway. The mid-'60s Broadway hit "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" was filmed in 1967 with him in his original Broadway role.
