Dylan Rogers was born in the Chicagoland area to Mary Rogers, a SEO specialist, and DL Rogers, a salesman. His father is African American and his mother is of Irish and Italian ancestry. Dylan grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, before going to Ohio to compete in Track & Field at a collegiate level. Before getting bit by the acting bug, Dylan planned to study Economics. But once he was cast in a friend's play freshman year, he fell in love with the craft.
