Casey has been involved in wildlife filmmaking since 1995, and his "track record" has been focused on wildlife and nature for his entire life. Born and raised in Montana surrounded by wilderness, his passion for the outdoors began before he could even walk. As a kid, spending all of his time exploring the mountains, he began photographing his adventures to prove his outrageous accounts of the wild to his classmates. Beginning at age 18, he found himself guiding wildlife filmmakers into the back country of Montana to find and film elusive wild animals, simultaneously working at a captive wildlife park to learn the behaviors of these animals on a more intimate level. At age 26, Casey adopted a baby grizzly bear from an overpopulated wildlife park where he was head curator, and built and co-founded Montana Grizzly Encounter, a sanctuary for grizzly bears saved from inhumane situations. As a television personality, tracker, avid outdoors adventurer and explorer, Casey has made it his mission to bring the wild to the hearts of every generation, instilling a drive to conserve untamed and untouched wild places around the world, using natural history filmmaking as his key tool in doing so. He is the executive producer of Expedition Wild and America the Wild, which have aired on networks such as Nat Geo WILD, ABC Saturday mornings, and CW - receiving various awards from the 2010 Panda award for "Best Presenter" and the 2013 and 2014 "Parents Choice Award" from ABC. Casey is the founder and executive producer of VisionHawk, a wildlife film production company. Casey has also appeared on multiple television talk shows, Oprah Winfrey, Conan O'Brien, and Good Morning America, to name a few. He is an international inspirational speaker, sharing his vision into the soul of a grizzly bear to connect humans to nature on a deeper level. Casey resides in Paradise Valley, Montana, where he shares his backyard with a variety of wildlife - from mountain lions and rattlesnakes, to great horned owls.
