Born and raised in a small rural town in West Virginia, Cindy has become an accomplished character actor and plays authority roles with aplomb. Cast mostly as characters that wear uniforms, she can often be seen on the call sheet as a variety of Law Enforcement or Emergency Medical Services personnel types. However, she is able to avoid the stereotypical typecast by performing challenging stage roles with both professional and academic companies, along with sitcoms such as "Downward Dog". Her most recent work has her Co-Starring on TV shows such as "Power Book 3" "Servant" "Swagger", "Gone" "Outsiders", "Downward Dog", "Mindhunter" and in studio films like "Concussion". She also can be seen in supporting roles in shorts like the internet multi-media sensation "Muck" and the mockumentary style independent feature "The Race". She also recently performed as a Guest Artist for the Davis and Elkins College production of "The Giver" as the Chief Elder. A skilled trumpet player, Cindy performed with the World Champion Star of Indiana Drum & Bugle Corps and also later toured with Brass Theatre after Star left the DCI arena to pursue a more theatrical style of work. Trained as a serious actor, she finds she connects quicker and more easily with comedy. Most of her career has been performing as a sketch comedian, stand up comic (most notably for MTV's Rock the Vote Tour) and Improv actor studying at The Second City & Upright Citizens Brigade.
