Christopher Lee McDaniel was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina and grew up in a small town called Bennett, 45 miles south of Raleigh. His father Jay McDaniel was in the music business and a DJ for one of the top rock stations in North Carolina. His mother Brenda McDaniel was a travel agent at her own agency. While growing up in the south and on a farm he raced dirt bikes, swam in rivers, went camping, and was a real country boy. Christopher was always very athletic and grew up playing baseball, basketball, wrestling, and golf. His first job was a lifeguard when he was 16-17 years old. After high school he moved to Wilmington, NC for college. Christopher attended Cape Fear College and started working his way into the studios and shows shooting there, one of which was "Dawson's Creek". On a week-long trip to Los Angeles, with his father, a photographer approached Christopher and wanted to work with him. Shortly thereafter, he was picked by the producers at Fox to play a role on X-Men as young Colossus. This started his journey in Los Angeles to live and pursue his dreams. He was then added to the modeling roster of Abercrombie and Fitch's summer catalog in 2002 where he went to Miami and shot with Bruce Weber. Christopher's career only grew from there, as he has worked on many of the top TV shows, films, and commercials over the years. Christopher continued to train with multiple acting coaches and schools while in Los Angeles with respect to honing his craft. Accrediting most of his teachings to the Stella Adler Studio in Hollywood where he has studied immensely. As of 2016, Chris has starred in over 25 national commercials, multiple soaps, TV shows and films. He had the opportunity to shine on the Academy awards handing out the Oscars in 2010.
