Anya Wu was born on February 17th, in 1976 in Taiwan. She moved to the United States, together with her family, by the age of 6. She was raised in New York City and was discovered by a record company to become a singer back in Taiwan. While she was in Taiwan and preparing for her album release, Anya, became the first girl DJ in Taiwan clubs. She caught alot of media attention, even media from Hong Kong. With so much public attention, her interview in a magazine caught the eye of Director Jingle Ma, who then convinced Golden Harvest, a film production, distribution and exhibition company to relocate her to Hong Kong and sign her. Unfortunately, by the time they found her, he had already started "Moi Moi Cha", the movie in which he had wanted her for. So her debut film became Born To Be King, the final installment of the Young & Dangerous series,as Jordan Chan's wife, Nanako. Relocating to Hong Kong, Anya's profile has increased swiftly with Golden Harvest's support. She has since had larger roles in several of the studio's post-millenium efforts. She appeared as one of Ekin Cheng's many girls in For Bad Boys Only and in 2001 took more action-oriented roles in two hot action films. Sharp Guns and 2002, where her Fire Ghost menaced Stephen Fung and Nicholas Tse. She went on to become one of the top upcoming actresses in both Hong Kong and Taiwan and with her undoubtable gorgeous looks has also graced numerous magazine covers, print ads, and TV shows in both regions. In 2002, Anya began work on the "remake/sequel" to Naked Killer, titled Naked Weapon as Kat, the best friend to Charlene, Maggie Q's character. She also recently worked in HK on a stage play Glengarry Glenross in which she took on the challenging role of Blake that has been always played by a man. Tickets were sold out and another day had to be added. Afterwards, she starred in Tsui Hark's thriller Vampire Hunters as Sasa. After the liquidation of Golden Harvest's talent agency, Anya decided to go back to her native Taiwan and experiment on some TV series there. There she did starred in a TV series called Pink Godfather, as well as Taiwan's version of "Sex And The City" where she played "Samantha". After being there for a year, she realized that her focus was still more in films, and headed to join the fierce competitive, but growing industry in China. Being fluent in Chinese as well as English, her current works are on co-productions with China and foreign production companies.
Anya Adams is an award-winning Canadian-American director best known for Black-ish, Ginny & Georgia, and The Good Place. The Alice Initiative named Adams as one of the top emerging female filmmakers on The Alice List 2020. Winner of the NAACP Image Award 2020 for Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series for GLOW, Adams has since made her pilot debut directing Netflix Originals' popular coming-of-age drama series Ginny & Georgia. Adams began her career in the nonprofit sector travelling the world working with global citizen incubator Up With People for several years before transitioning to filmmaking. Following her acceptance into the DGA Trainee Program, the Canadian native from Vancouver, British Columbia relocated to Los Angeles where she trained on the set of such shows as Boomtown and The Practice. As a DGA member, Adams worked on some of the most successful television shows including Black-ish, The Mindy Project, CSI Miami, Community, Scrubs and The West Wing. In 2016, Adams directed her first short film, Lemonade Mafia, starring Marsai Martin, Yvette Nicole Brown and Ava Acres. Her career catapulted after directing an episode of Black-ish in 2017 and continues to soar.

Anya Benton was always interested in a career in acting and modeling. From a young age, she loved being in front of the camera or just performing at home. Anya primarily grew up in La Jolla, California. In high school, Anya began to work locally as a model and began participating in high school drama classes and theatrical productions. She also took classes at the John Casablanca Academy and the local junior theater school. Because Anya always took education very seriously, after graduating Cum Laude from La Jolla High School in 2002, she went on to attend UCLA where she majored in Mass Communications and double minored in Russian Studies and Spanish Language. She was also an active volunteer through the Kiwanis Family and traveled to Barcelona, Spain to study abroad. Although she modeled and acted through college, she focused most of her efforts on her courses. As a result, she was able to graduate from UCLA in only three years in 2005 as a trilingual Cum Laude student. After graduation, Anya began to pursue her acting and modeling career full time. She began taking acting classes again, doing student and independent films, working on various modeling projects, and doing commercial work. She diligently continues to improve her craft everyday and to enrich her knowledge of the business. She is now working on various acting and modeling projects as well as taking acting courses.
For TV, Anya wrote episode 5 of the AACTA-Award-winning bush-fire drama FIRES for producers Tony Ayres, Andrea Denholm, Liz Watts and show runner Belinda Chayko for the ABC and NBC International; wrote on EDEN (Stanwith Bryan Elsey (SKINS) and Every Cloud; as well as an episode of the much-anticipated Margot Robbie-led SHAKESPEARE NOW TV series in development from the ABC/Hoodlum/Lucky Chap with Rachel Ward directing. She has also been in development rooms on a number of premium TV series, working with companies such as Goalpost, Endemol Shine, Porchlight, Made Up Stories, Matchbox, Jungle and Fremantle Media amongst others. Anya's UK/AUS co-production short film IT'S ME was commissioned by producer Lee Magiday (THE LOBSTER, THE FAVOURITE) starring Maxine Peake and Russell Tovey and premiered at the Manchester Film Festival in 2020. Anya won an Australian Writer's Guild (AWGIE) Award for the first short film she wrote PARADISE (2014). She was one of four inaugural winners of the Lexus Short Film Fellowship at Sydney Film Festival for HOW THE LIGHT GETS IN (2017). Anya's original feature script SERPENTINE was a semi-finalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships (Oscars 2016), was shortlisted for the Sundance Labs and Austin Film Fest and featured on the inaugural "Aussie" Black List in 2018). Anya's other shorts have screened at Sydney Film Festival, Palm Springs International Shorts Fest, Rhode Island Film Festival, Flickerfest, and the Seattle International Film Festival among others.
