This movie touches on a very sensitive issue of farmer suicides in Punjab and in India. How do the farmers have a choice except for suicide after they are forced to take debt or trapped in the deadly cycle of debt and its after-effects.

The main protagonist is an honest and renowned police officer who cannot see injustice. The plot takes a turn when a girl comes in his life and the two come across numerous challenges in their lives.
